Our story
A dream, built by hand
Owning a short-term rental has been a dream of ours for many years. It isn't our first, either. Back when Airbnb was brand new, we used to rent out Veronika's apartment while we were off travelling, and we loved being part of other people's adventures.

Two equal suites
We love to travel, and some of our best trips have been with friends. But sharing a rental with another couple always came with the same awkward question: who gets the primary bedroom? So when we designed our own place, we made sure nobody would have to ask. Bayswater Beach Retreat has two equal primary suites, each with a king bed, a custom shower, a freestanding tub and its own ocean view.

Designed, then built
We designed the house long before we found a place to build it. We toured a lot of land looking for a spot that met our very specific wish list, and when we finally found this one on the Aspotogan Peninsula, four minutes from Bayswater Beach, we knew it was the one.
We built the house ourselves, with the help of a friend in the trades. Drawing your own plans and building them comes with its own stresses, but we're so proud of what we've created.
Still growing
Within our first year, we finished the lower level and began offering the entire house, so larger groups and families can stay together too. With more than 90 five-star reviews and counting, we're still finding ways to make the retreat better. Next on the list are a new BBQ, more plants and flowers out front and, one day, a sauna. We're also designing our next property and searching for the right place to build it.

For families
We travel with our daughter, so we know how much little things matter. We keep the house minimal on purpose, but we have family items in storage and are always happy to bring them out. Just ask.
We love to travel and explore, and since we can't do that all the time, we pour that love into your stay. We can't fully explain how much it means to us that you have the perfect vacation.
